| This dataset has monthly composites of Level 3, Standard Mapped Image, 4km, chlorophyll fluorescence data from NASA's Aqua Spacecraft, which gives insight into the physiology of phytoplankton in the ocean. When phytoplankton are under stress, the rate at which they fluoresce can be decoupled from the rate of photosynthetic productivity. Measurements are gathered by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) carried aboard the spacecraft. This is Science Quality data.
